Spiritual Sunday - Blogtober Day Fourteen

Hey y’all! Welcome back to another Spiritual Sunday for Blogtober Day Fourteen.

Today I am going to be talking about Dogs or Animals in general and their souls. Now, this is all based on my opinion and experience.

When I was little, I was at a church class and I was talking about how dogs go to heaven and the man who was teaching the class told me “dogs don’t go to heaven.” and disagreeing with him I asked “why?” and he told me “because dogs don’t have souls.” and I almost walked out and left.

How could someone say a dog doesn’t have a soul? If they did not have a soul then explain how they love unconditionally, how they are happy when you come home, etc. Now, I didn’t have any proof then but I just knew dogs went to heaven and they do have souls.

Now, fast forward about 10 or so years from that church class and my Dog Princess was killed by another dog right in front of me and one of the first things I said was “its, okay she’s in a better place.” Now this really tested my faith and my beliefs when this happened. One of which is I believe that everything happens for a reason.

Long story short the days and weeks following her passing I had spirit visitation dreams from her and it takes a lot of energy for spirit to come through in a dream. I had three dreams and all of which I woke up sad because she wasn’t around anymore. Then on the fourth dream I had of her, it was very real and I could feel her when I was holding her and I remember being able to actually touch her and she exited the dream very peacefully. I woke up extremely grateful for that dream and it was the first dream where I was grateful and at peace and not sad. Since that dream I have not had any dreams of her.

I believe that her soul kept visiting me until I was at peace and once I was at peace it allowed her soul to move on.

Countdown: 17 Days till’ Halloween.
