5 Ways To Save Money On Groceries

Hey y’all! I think groceries is one of the most noticeable things that we clearly see the effects from inflation. Everything in the grocery store seems to highlight inflation. Inflation has hit everything but the top ramen. I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to eat top ramen for supper every night to make it. Here are the things I’ve implemented to help save on groceries.

  • Buying in Bulk: There are certain things we like to buy in bulk. My husband and I love going to Costco. Some things we for sure like to buy in bulk at Costco is: Paper Towels, Milk, Chips, Produce and definitely make sure to grab a rotisserie chicken while you are there to make a budget friendly meal with it.

  • Mobile Order: We do like to mobile order whenever we can. You can easily see what you have in your mobile cart and how much it is. Not to mention it saves time as well. This way you get what you need and not the other half of the store.

  • Meal Plan: I like to plan out what I am going to make for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks for the week before I shop. Then I buy what I will use that week and it will not go to waste.

  • Buy for what you already have: Once you meal plan then you can go through your fridge, freezer and pantry. This way you can build your list and see what you already have, this way you are building off of some of the odds and ends ingredients you already have at home and don’t have to buy more than necessary. .

  • Shop the clean 15 and dirty dozen list: I eat mostly organic produce and vegetables. However, I shop based off EWG’s Clean 15 and Dirty Dozen list. If it is on the dirty dozen list I will absolutely buy it organic. But, if it is on the Clean 15 list then I can save a few dollars by shopping the non organic section for those fruits or vegetables.
