Stop Trying To Please Everyone

Stop trying to please everyone. I think so many of us do it by default. One may want their hair to be the perfect color, length and style. One may want their nails to be fresh and not out grown. One may change the way that they act to fit in with a certain group. One may never leave the house unless their makeup is done. All of these things are great things and there is nothing wrong with doing these things. Just make sure you are doing it for you, because it makes you feel good. Don’t just do it because you are trying to please or impress others.

You do not have to get outside validation from others to determine your personal standard. You get to set your own standard. You shouldn’t have to worry about what other people think about you. Please, do not let the opinions from others determine the choices you make or the things that you do. If you make decisions based on other people you will likely be unhappy. You won’t be able to please everyone.

Even Jesus could not please everybody. Let me say that again. Jesus Christ, the Son of God could not please everybody. Now don’t get me wrong, he was enough. He was enough to please everyone. But, despite that he was enough, people hardened their hearts against him. So, just keep in mind you could still be enough and still not be able to please everyone because of their heart and their point of view. So, live your life for you and when you receive unsupportive feedback from someone just remember that staying private can allow you to enjoy the peace of the moment.
